D & L Accountancy Services being Chartered Accountants in Chelmsford and offering a free initial consultation is a strong start, but there’s nothing on the site to help someone judge price, package, or fit before they pick up the phone. Trust me i see this a lot, it’s a bit like having a tidy office with the blinds shut, people can tell you’re there, but they can’t see enough to walk in.

That’s the bit i sort, so the site does a better job of turning the trust you’ve already built into enquiries. No hidden fees, price quoted is the price paid, and it still feels like your firm, just easier to say yes to:)

Hey David,

Chelmsford is doing the heavy lifting for you on the trust side, and the nationwide service helps, but the site still leaves people guessing on the practical stuff, what’s included, what it costs, and why they should choose you now. That’s usually where enquiries stall.

I’d put that into plain English on the site, with a few simple package cues and proof points, so people don’t have to ring just to find out the basics. It makes a proper difference for accountancy firms.

Is the site a priority at the minute or one of those 'one day' jobs?

Hey David,

The free initial consultation is a good hook, but without pricing or case studies, it’s doing a lot of work on its own. For accountancy, that’s a bit like quoting on a tax return with half the figures missing, everyone gets cautious.

I’d add a simple structure that shows the types of clients you take on, what they can expect, and a couple of real examples of the sort of problems you solve. Nothing fancy, just enough to make the next step feel easy.

Hey David,

You’ve got the basics in place, testimonials, news, the Chartered Accountants bit, but it still feels a bit light on the proof that helps someone choose you over the next firm. One testimonial is better than none, but it rarely does the whole job on its own.

I’d build out a few case-study style pages and a clearer services section, so people can see the kind of work you do before they get in touch. That usually pulls more of the right enquiries through.

Would it be useful if the site did a better job of pre-selling the first call?
