Lawrence Johns has the sort of long-standing accountancy setup that should be doing more for you online, audit, bookkeeping, payroll, tax, the lot. The site’s basically a service list though, no pricing, no testimonials, no clear next step, which is a bit like having a tidy office with the front door half shut.

That’s the bit i sort, so people who land there actually feel confident enough to get in touch. No hidden fees, price quoted is the price paid, just a proper site that helps the firm look the part and brings in more enquiries:)

Lawrence Johns has been around since 1993, and that kind of experience should be doing a bit more heavy lifting on the site. At the minute it’s not really giving people a reason to choose you, there’s no reviews, no case studies, no real proof beyond the service list.

I’d put the trust bits front and centre, then make it dead easy for someone in Eastcote or across the M25 to take the next step. Like putting a proper sign outside a good shop, instead of hoping people guess what’s inside.

Is the site a priority at the minute or one of those 'one day' jobs?

The mix at Lawrence Johns is strong, audit, statutory accounts, VAT, company formation, specialist reporting, but the website isn’t really turning that into enquiries. No online booking, no proper lead form, no pricing, so people have to do all the work themselves.

I’d sort the path from first visit to first contact, then wire in simple follow-ups so decent leads don’t go cold while someone’s busy with client work. Same idea as leaving the office phone ringing out, you’d never do that in the real world.

Hey Timothy,

Lawrence Johns has the kind of breadth that should make the site work harder, standard accountancy plus bespoke specialist reporting, but right now it reads more like a brochure than a proper enquiry machine. That’s usually where good firms lose people, not from the work, just from the website doing very little.

I’d keep the experience and registered auditor angle, then add the trust bits that answer the awkward questions before they’re asked. No fluff, no hidden fees, just a site that makes it easier for the right people to get in touch.

Lawrence Johns clearly knows its stuff, the site just isn’t doing much to prove it. No reviews, no pricing, no strong call to action, so it’s leaving a fair bit on the table.

I’ll leave it there, but if you ever want the website to pull its weight a bit more, i’d be happy to sort it. If not, no drama at all.
